We come across so many people who waste their whole life in doubts and fears instead of working hard and facing hardships. They think uselessly and are not sure what their future will be like. Haji Gulab is the person who lived his present with total courage and succeeded in the future.
Haji Gulab is a gentle, generous, compassionate and a tall person with gallant voice. Rajhistan is his natal sod, came to Pakistan after independence with his parents and siblings and settled in Tando Mohammad Khan.
He lost his father when he was eight years old. His elder brother got mental trauma because of this lost.
So much of difficulties and hardships in such young age compelled him to do some work for survival and to help his mother earn to run their house. His mother was a working woman too and brought him up with sincerity and taught him to workhard and never take any donation (zakat) from anyone. Although she was a single parent but she never took such favour from anyone.
Gulab started selling sweets and boiled legumes in streets. Besides these he sold corn, dry fruits etc at different times.
He said 'When I was eighteen years old, I went in a club one night and started betting. I won all the money I bet for but I was not happy. There was a guilt inside me. While on my way to home I sat on the stairs outside the mosque and started crying badly. I burnt all the money and thought if I have this money in my fate, I'll earn it in a right way with loyalty and hardwork'.
He continued selling goods in streets. After some time he got married that too with an honest woman and hardworking. She helped Gulab in all aspects of life.
Afterwards, he opened a stall of milkrose in a market. Together with his wife he used to run his little shop. His wife used to make serub for milkrose. Initially he started selling 20 kgs per day. By the time the milkrose became famous and its sell increased day by day and reached to 60 kgs per day. This was the beggining of his good time.
After few years he bought a land for cultivation. He worked with all his passion and courage though he already had gone through lots of troubles. Gulab worked with his heart and soul. His dedication to this field lead himto success. He bought further lands for cultivation in different places of Sindh.
After decades of his success in early 90s  he was kidnapped for the greed for money. It was the worst time of his life that he came across. He was then released from the kidnappers after fulfiling their demands after one and a half month. He went Lahore for overcoming this incident and within six months he was ready to deal with the world again.
Gulab is a man of will, a self made person. He has a soft corner for the orphans and widows. He helped them with all his heart. He helped youngsters to get education, to move forward in life or to make their future bright. He helped everyone despite of race, religion or caste. He helps impecunious and poor people. He has also supported so many families financially.
He is very fond of learning. He never  got educations due to some hard circumstances but education does not mean to learn certain languages and be a degree holder. Its actual meaning is to know and serve humanity and Haji Gulab knows it very well.

  1. Views/ opinion of others is important part of the profile. Observation and talk with personality are not sufficient. Try to speak ( write) language of his profession.
