Comrades: companions or gangsters?

In this day and age, all and sundry live their life on the basis of, apna kaam banta bhaar mein jaye janta. Usually, everyone consider where straight forwardness has never a chance of working, crookedness flourishes. If we cannot merely get what we want, we should simply snatch it, through immoral or illegal tactics.

The term Comrade, means a friend, associate, companion or a chum. There are so many remarkable examples in this regard, initiating with Comrade Ernesto Che Guevara of Argentina, who always pondered humanity and rights of deprived peoples. He said, I am not interested in dry economic socialism. We are fighting against misery, but we are also fighting against alienation.

As for Sindh, Comrade Hyder Bux Jatoi, though taken birth at Larkana but, made Hyderabad, political capital for revolutionary movement and movement of human rights especially rights of peasants of Sindh. Comrade Taaj Mohammad Abro, who played a significant role in creating awareness among people in remote areas of Sindh for seeking education. Additionally, Comrade Ghulam Mohammad Laghari (journalist), Comrade Mir Mohammad Talpur (social worker), Comrade Abdul Kadir Mewa Khan Khokhar (founder of Sindh Hari Movement), are similar instances, who worked for poor masses and their rights.

In the entire world, comrades are ideal in their commitment, character and struggle. They play a pro-public role across the globe. But in Sindh, situations are like chalk and cheese. In foreign countries, the title of comrade is highly regarded and reputable but here, in Sindh, it is for those who are dreadful and hazardous for well-being of society.

During Zia-ul-haq’s regime, comrades turned into gangsters, and became self-styled. They defamed this respectable title by their wrong and illegal activities. Zia was a toadied person, his tyranny changed the helpers, associates and companions to thugs, hooligans and gangsters.

A proverb says, when there is a will there is a way, but no one told us about good will or bad. It wholly depend upon us. A good way for good will is highly esteemed and admirable, on the contrary, if we will follow the path of bad people, we will be disparaged and it will definitely bring chaos.
According to the opinion of ordinary people, those who are annoyed, or who had been neglected from their kinfolks (family), become depressed and due to aggravation, goes in open air and try to rule over others. They feel humiliation and frustration hence think that, undoubtedly, I am worthless for my family. In order to get rid from this abhorrence, they chose wrong techniques, such as, snatching the power by wicked and unscrupulous activities, spreading terror and so on. They believe, that they are the leaders, they even perform incorrect deeds like strikes, boycotts, rallies, firing and brutal killing of innocent people.

Nowadays, these so-called comrades, are living just for the sake of their own fame and profit. Sometimes in acquiring these self-based benefits, they even hurt or wound other’s sentiments and build up thorny problems for general public.

At present, comrades are scattering fear by their actions, as well as, physique. Their ruffian appearance with open collars, big moustaches and long hairs, gives the impression of wilderness, ill-mannerism and vulgarity. They are becoming more careless and thoughtless slowly and gradually. They even don’t care for their families.

In foreign countries, they usually gather and talk over complications or snags being faced by general public and also discover new solutions for those problems in a virtuous manner. But here, in Sindh, they gather together just to take sips of tea and to bully, victimize or harass common public by their errant acts.

They are always in search of a partner, whenever they watch any girl, they start their vulgar activities, they follow her, prove their absurdity in front of her and when they face negligence and ignorance from that girl, it leads either to suicide or to homicide.

Concisely, there are some epic comrades, who are working for the advancement of public till today, but their maximum ratio is living their lives just for themselves. Moreover, they do not admire society, and disrespect the rights of common people. They just want to fulfil their peculiar desires.
