WOMEN FESTIVALS  IN TANDOALLAHYAR

Every one know about festivals. Festival is that place where people enjoying very much like this type of festivals were held in Tando Allah Yar. Sindh Minister for Youth Affairs, Syed Faisal Sabzwari in a meeting on Monday reviewed arrangements of two days Youth Festival to be held in Tando Allah Yar on 28, 29 February jointly by department of Youth Affairs Sindh and Deputy Commissioner Tando Allah Yar

Secretary Youth Affairs Sindh, Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui, Deputy Commissioner Tando Allah Yar, Rafique Ahmed Buriro, Director Youth Affair Sindh, Khursheed Ali Shahand other relevant officers were also present.

Director youth affairs told that during the festival contests would be held in four categories: debate, painting or calligraphy, photography and singing, while debate category has two sub-categories, one for the youths aged between15 and 22 years and the other for the ages of 22 to 29 years.

He said that in all categories, first position holders would be given cash award of Rs. 15000. second position holder Rs. 10000 and third position holder Rs.7000. They also would be granted shields and certificates while other youth who will fill Forms would also be given certificates. A food mela and exhibition would also be held during the festival.

This is the first festival which held in Tando Allah Yar. The second biggest festival which held every year Tando Allah Yar is eid at Rama Pir’s festival.

Tando Allah Yar, a district tucked away in interior Sindh, had a very curious Eid-ul-azha this year. On the night of September 24th while cows and goats sheepishly awaited slaughter in the narrow. I visited Tando Allah Yar’s festival every year to celebrate Eid with my family. When I was young, I used to be able to go out on the streets without a distinct purpose and a chaadar wrapped around my body. When my grandmother told me that the hindus of the village were having a three-days mela (fair) beginning on the eve of eid, I grabbed my thick embroidered chaadar, awkwardly wrapped it around myself and begged my dad to escort me.

Women do not occupy any kind of public phase in tando allah yar, which is why the sight of Rama Pir ground was so interesting.

The festival includes hundreds of different vendors in the bazaar who were selling clay pots, plain and glitters mounds of rich and bangles. It was a bazaar made for women. It also included fun activities for the children. There was a big ferris wheel, small pirate ships and various other rides for them to play. Moreover, the festival also constitutes a performance by the lucky Irani circus group, jugglers and flame eaters kept the audience entranced and the traveling zoo had the children going wild with glee. The sight of an elephant in interior Sindh is no ordinary thing.

I was extra ordinary to see eid and the festival being celebrated at the same time with such earnest enthusiasm. Animals were slaughtered , deities were worshipped, women were out on the streets, qurbani meat.

The third most popular festival was held in Ghani park, Tando Allah Yar for the help of teachers. It was only for females, boys were not allowed. In this festival stalls, fast food, jewelery, and many games were available.

The fourth festival was held in Shah Latif garden, for the ownership of Sir Malik Baloch. This festival held especially for students’ request. This is also only for women. In this festival, quiz competition and distributions of gifts is available. Children and girls get lots of fun.

The last festival till now also held in Shah Latif garden and this festival is for the greeting of Eid, for the enjoyment of people. One side people feel happy for Eid and on the other side enjoy this festival.

This types of festivals helds for women for the enjoyment of womens and girls and it is a grate plateform to show our qualities, characteristics etc.
